Welcome to Petit Lumière. By accessing our website and/or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

2) Eligibility

By using this website, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your country of residence and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

3) Products & Handmade Nature

Our products are handcrafted. Minor variations in color, texture, finish, or appearance are normal and are not considered defects. Product photos are for illustrative purposes; lighting and screens may cause slight differences.

4) Candle Safety & Proper Use

Candles must be used responsibly. By purchasing from us, you agree to follow standard candle safety practices, including but not limited to:

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended

  • Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects

  • Burn on a heat-resistant surface

  • Do not burn for extended periods; follow product guidance

  • Discontinue use when wax level is low

Improper use may result in damage or injury, for which we cannot be held responsible.

5) Orders

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. An order is considered accepted once:

  • Payment has been successfully processed, and

  • You receive an order confirmation email.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to: product availability, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or misuse of our policies. If we cancel an order after payment, you will be refunded.

6) Prices, Currency & Taxes

Prices are shown in the currency displayed during checkout and include applicable taxes when required. Shipping costs (if any) are shown at checkout before you confirm your payment.

We may update prices and product availability at any time. Price changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

7) Payments

Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its payment partners. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.

8) Shipping & Delivery (Spain + EU)

We currently ship to Spain and the European Union.

Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and may vary due to carrier delays, weather conditions, peak seasons, or circumstances beyond our control. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.

If a parcel is returned due to:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address

  • Failed delivery attempts

  • Uncollected parcel from a pickup point

We may reship it at an additional cost or refund the product amount only, minus shipping/handling fees.

For shipping claims, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and any supporting information.

9) Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer in Spain or the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, in accordance with EU consumer protection rules, provided the items meet the conditions outlined in our Return & Refund Policy.

Due to hygiene and safety reasons, candles that have been used, lit, tested, opened, or show signs of use may not be eligible for return.

10) Returns & Refunds

Returns and refunds are handled according to our Return & Refund Policy. We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not comply with the policy (for example: used products, missing original packaging, or late claims).

11) Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photos of:

  • The item(s)

  • The inner packaging

  • The shipping label

We will assess the issue and offer a replacement, partial refund, or full refund where appropriate.

12) Promotions, Discount Codes & Gift Cards

Discount codes:

  • Cannot be combined unless stated otherwise

  • Must be applied at checkout

  • May have expiration dates and usage limits

We reserve the right to cancel orders that misuse promotions or codes.

13) Intellectual Property

All content on this site (images, text, branding, logos, product names, designs) is owned by Petit Lumière or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute it without written consent.

14) Reviews & User Content

If you submit reviews, comments, or photos, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, display, and share that content for marketing and website purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing.

15) Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the website, you consent to the collection and use of information as described there.

16) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Petit Lumière is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of profits, arising from the use of our products or website.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including consumer rights in Spain/EU).

17) Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including carrier disruptions, natural disasters, strikes, or governmental actions.

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

19) Governing Law & Jurisdiction
